Your correction is correct...with the caveat being that statistically speaking there is a larger pool of women/minorities out there that would benefit from reduced barriers to entry simply based on the fact that there are far fewer women/minorities who are pilots currently.
Many of us had barriers that we had to overcome. My ‘white privilege’ involved a GED and a bus ticket from a rough neighborhood to boot camp. College and flight training via G.I. Bill. Same route any one of my ‘underprivileged’ minority enlisted brothers and sisters could have pursued, but chose not to.
Sat on flight decks for decades talking to minorities/females, many of which came from Upper middle class upbringings, attended /recruited to prestigious schools, flight schools and service academies, only to then get invitations to preferential hiring seminars and receive scholarships via OBAP, WIA, 99s, etc, and proceed straight to the front of the hiring line at every major airline that competed for their “representation”.
To say that women and minorities face barriers to entry, is simply no longer true. If anything, it’s quite the opposite.

That's an interesting question.
My anecdotal observations are that poverty likely plays a role as blacks in the US are disproportionally poor which has a significant affect on the ability to pursue flight training. I also see a strong predisposition towards sports and athletics where blacks are disproportionally successful.

Year after year, the military fails to meet its recruiting quota so it’s not like those opportunities are not available. thousands of minorities separate from the military with education benefits every year. There are also many other opportunities and scholarships available to minorities that are not available to others.
if we are to come together as a country and compete with the lakes of China, we need to end this philosophy of victimhood. Hands-down, some of the most talented and gifted people I have known in my career were minorities and females. They are fully capable and equipped to compete on an equal playing field as their white male counterparts. We just need to stop convincing them otherwise with these ridiculous programs and handouts.

Malcolm X said: "The worst enemy that the Black man has is this white man that runs around here drooling at the mouth professing to love blacks and calling himself a liberal, and it is following these white liberals that has perpetuated problems that Blacks have. If the blacks weren’t taken, tricked or deceived by the white liberal, then Blacks would get together and solve our own problems. I only cite these things to show you that in America, the history of the white liberal has been nothing but a series of trickery designed to make Blacks think that the white liberal was going to solve our problems. Our problems will never be solved by the white man."

Absolutely nothing is stopping a straight white male from joining OBAP OR WIA, participating at the level required to attain scholarships, and get the benefits you're describing (albeit exaggerating). This I know from first hand experience. Try again.

BTW if you are in the know tell us how many white males did WIA or OBAP help get hired and give scholarships too?

This is an interesting interview with Jordan Peterson discussing a broad form of this topic. The whole thing is worth watching, but starting at the ten minute mark they go into the issue:

Try again for what? Am I wrong on any account? Can't the Women or OBAP applicants apply like everyone else also? Why do they need a special group that gets special consideration based on genitals and skin pigment?

Yes, you're wrong to say that as a white guy you get less opportunities than a woman or an OBAP member. WIA and OBAP do not discriminate with who they help. It's the favorite argument of those who don't know or care to learn. Like anything else, you'll get out of it what you put in.
To answer your other question, I'm in the know enough to tell you that it's greater than zero. So, your point is invalid.

How many times does it have to be said that it's a *goal* to have 50% of students who *begin training* be women or people of color. To be qualified enough to begin training you basically have to be healthy and a will to work at it. After that, everyone agrees the students have to work hard and prove themselves able to fly the airplane.
