But what we will learn from 65 and 66 year olds will be invaluable. Such things like “how we did it 20 years ago and why I still do it that way even though the manuals tell us not too” and “this technique is a requirement when flying with me”

The amount of pilots who achieved this is incredibly small in the big picture.

Your whole argument is "well a few guys had insanely good timing". Yeah no sh!t, every generation has some of those............so what?

Life's not fair?
Deal with it?

His career was harmed when he got fired from Eagle. So he could’ve been a AA CA maybe about 5-6 yrs ago.

He was a very vocal person in a forum called EagleLounge (back in the day).

Seems to me that he want to recover some of that money lost with age 67.

Any slow down in advancement of that seniority inevitably hurts anyone not at the top.
They lose money. It goes to those above them.

I am trying to make this is simple as possible.
You now HAVE to work the extra 2 years to achieve that seniority and make up for loss of earnings. Google how investments grow over time.
These people are either dense or deliberately obtuse. This is exactly the problem with increasing the age. It's moving the goal posts. I hope it never gets raised, but IF IT DOES I hope its the month before I retire. Or some time after, whichever.

Speaking of, I would like to start coordinating for age 67 in early 2062.

So… if the age is raised 1 month before you retire, you will hang up the goggles? Or will you remained glued to your seat? Just asking for those opposed to the raising the mandatory retirement age limit. Please do tell.

I'm taking the over on every one of you that insists they'll be gone - voluntarily - by 65.
