Ok, sorry. I just need to get laid lately (log some actual)
and FliFast is right I have been cranky lately.
Our industry is so hanging by a...... or more appropriately,
alluding to oil........
it's our turn in the barrel.
Best wishes to everybody's airline.
God help us all.

Back to the subject at hand; I'd rather taxi very slow so the pax think they're going somewhere and progress is being made, rather than hurry and wait at the end. Passengers seem to be happier when they are moving, vs stopped. They also seem to respect the seatbelt sign if you're underway, vs stopped. JMHO

My wife went to USC and I went to TEXAS so I was just yanking....could not resist with your avatar. I hate to burst your bubble but I don't stay on the little yellow line all the time either. I guess you can flame on me like fatso did about my knowledge of the AIM minutiae, but alot of time the shortest distance between to points is a straight line. As long as it is safe and their is no conflict I go for the target.

I know what you mean. When I am trying to avoid traffic I use the same logic. As long as I am moving I must be getting somewhere. No one has answered my question about what technic would have less brake wear. Very simple - more applications (riding the brakes to maintain 10 kts) vs a few applications until you get to the hold short. You have any input EWR?
