CAL F/O Removed from flight

I don't know who restored her pay but if it was the company......well that's not good enough. This need to hurt Captain BM in the wallet. Then maybe next time he'll consider his actions a little more carefully.

As a captain, you should know that you can't force someone to change their appearance unless it covered in the FOM. Hopefully, the chief pilot pointed this out to him and the company will post a memo.

Two pretty interesting points brought up here...
1) is kudos to her for standing up for something, even when she was faced with negative repercussions for her actions... a.k.a having balls
2) perhaps winning a small battle isn't as important as winning the war, the whole point of those bracelets is to show management and other pilots how you feel about a certain issue. Obviously this captain knew what it was and what it stood for. She could have taken it off while on the flight deck and he would still know her standpoint on the issue.
in the end though it seemed her actions had some good.. it led to an official apology, no matter how weak, and I doubt anyone will get hassled for wearing the bracelets anymore

Bottom line is this Captain is going to pay one way or the other. First will be his departure from the safety committee second will be his denial of the jumpseat (I pray it is me who explains to him that he won't be jumpseating on my jumpseat, EVER) and third the realization that even the CPO office probably thinks he's a tool and last being informed the FO got pay protected.
I think "his" commute (HNL-EWR) is going to start getting a bit tougher in the near future!!

Again...just a wild guess....Good job "Captain", you brought it on yourself!!
