Really grasping for things today, are we, sailing?

That brings up an interesting thought. One of the big objections the DALPA faithful have against DPA is the assertion that a change at this juncture would result in a prolonged contract negotiation. If DALPA presents a weak opener (which I feel certain they will) and ultimately returns a weak TA, I think this pilot group might actually vote this one down, and then the movement for DPA would become overwhelming. At that point in time, it would definitely result in a delay getting our new contract. Not to mention what starting out with a weak opener will do to the difficulty in obtaining a restorative result!

I bet DPA removes him. It would actually be the right thing to do.

It's obvious that DPA senior leadership has no problem using racial epithets, but I'm surprised that you think it's ok. What other DPA supporters think it's ok to use the racially demeaning terms DPA's Committee Vice Chairman used. Maybe we should start a poll.

Spoken like a true apologist for the indefensible. It calls into question that movement's leadership and committee structure. Was there any due diligence at DPA when they created their committee structure? Is their bench so shallow that they have an individual who would freely use racial slurs in his posts as a member of their government affairs committee? Is the DPA going to publicly distance themselves from this individual and his racists comment or try to sweep it under the rug?

Men of good conscience would not make light of it.

I thought the comment was inappropriate too (unless there is some other interpretation I haven't figured out yet). But how do you take a comment from one individual, speaking on a discussion forum as an individual and not in any official capacity, and spread that to the entire "DPA senior leadership?" That's quite a leap!

I was offended by the comment too. But I'm also offended by someone trying to use the comment to disparage others to score political points. I think you owe the "DPA senior leadership" an apology.

The 3 ring circus freaks are really at it on the dalpa web site! You got racial slurs, others claiming its "my forum", the super religious guys finacial wizard calling everyone to the spaceship, and "dude" is a bad word now.
Sometime I can't believe these are grown men flying planes. They really are a silly bunch.

Taternuts!!! Welcome back. Glad to see you've moved on from the faux Carl avatar.

I wasn't able to be there, so I'll keep my comments until I see the film/reportage of the event.
