All I am asking is for you to put yourself in my shoes. It would suck to have someone who hasn't put in the same amount of time be put senior to me as many of the AAI folks deem fair. I didn't say I was going to be a handful but I guarantee there will be some who are if this happens. I didn't say I agree with it either. It's the nature of the beast, ask the former NWA guys how the Republic thing worked out.
Tsquare, you don't even have a dog in this fight. You seem to be spooled up about my post though. The age reference was just there to illustrate that two guys the same age hired at roughly the same time end up with ten years between them and the original SWA guy loses out. This ain't DAL and NWA. The disparity is much greater. You are right, I have no control over it. I do have an opinion just as you have yours.

We do have a dog in this fight. My airline needs a rational industry with good competition. We need you (LUV/AAI) to be successful, just as we need UAL/CAL to be successful. Our profession can ill afford another version of AWA/AAA, where an irrational competitor like LCC is allowed to undercut us due to labor stupidity. What happens on your property affects others, just like the AMR B-scale.
Enjoy the decaf, and show some LUV...

Exactly, tsquare. Let's all remember one glaring fact:
SWA career expectation: 737 CA
AAI career expectation: 737 CA
And, LUVGup....
Don't worry, relative postion won't happen...that would be a clear windfall seniority gain just as a staple would be a windfall seniority gain for you.

Seems to me everyone's opinion has been allowed. You and your little buddies just don't like what you hear. Does it seem odd that most outsiders are siding somewhat with the FL pilots?

Maybe I am different from most pilots, it's not what I fly or what seat I am in, it's how much money I make and my quality of life. So 737 CA doesn't matter to me, the pay that I receive as a CA for SWA does. I will fly a 152 if I can get paid CA rate at SWA. I will even sit right seat in a 152 and work the radios, for the guys who thinks what seat they are in decides who they are in life.
I actually agree with this to an extent... I am not interested in flying for SWA.. nor a 172.. but it is as much about QOL and the $ than anything....
