An honest question:Why is FAPA willing to give up so much ? Because they have a lot to lose !

"Why does it seem like FAPA is so willing to play ball with the company and take concessions? "

The handwriting is on the wall. The board has shut down the super money furnace at F9.So what CAN they do ? Not much.BB has convinced them that costs are too high and they need to "take one for the team".

"This is an open question to any F9 drivers. I just want to better understand why you would be willing to take concessions for "good faith" profit type sharing in the future? "

They trust BB for some misguided reason and not people who have dealt with him for years-ignore them at your peril.Profits ? Oh man, that's a good one. There won't be any ! Except for a few key people.

"Not to mention, if you do vote in the concessions then Bedford said that he would then go after every other F9 workgroups (maint., Gate agents, ramp workers etc.) 401k and other benefits and wages thus seemingly making you a target to all other work groups."

It's all about me,me,me ! Screw you,I got mine ,you get yours ! I wouldn't eat any donuts left by rampers in the break room ! Sets the stage for a nice game of "Greedy Pilots Will Destroy This Company !" Copyright 1960 Ford & Harrison-well played,BB ! This will be HUGE.Why,oh WHY,would FAPA be party to this ?

"I have worked under the serpent disguised as Bedford and Co and have learned to worry about agreeing to anything that they propose and that’s why seeing FAPA help the cause worries me so much."

It's greed,pure and simple.

NOT!
I'll be looking to come over at E145 captain pay!!! Bolo, can't you hold E170 captain?

You made my day! I hadn't even thought of that - I have a seniority slot to go back to if we fold before the SLI gets undone, assuming that nothing better comes along. Finally, an upside to the SLI!

Default good faith effort?

Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but the last time I remember the company making a "good faith effort" IAW the CHQ contract, it was when we went public.

Article 14:

J. Stock Purchase
Should the Company complete an IPO, the Company shall make a good faith effort to develop an employee stock purchase program. In any such program, the pilots will be able to participate at the same level as management and other eligible Company employees.

Needless to say, they made their "good faith effort" and we have no employee stock purchase program. So, good luck with that wording.

Funny how the F9 guys think all RAH guys should start at the bottom of the Airbus list, because they got hired at Frontier and RAH guys did not. But they completely disagreed about starting at the bottom at Southwest. Think about it, the F9 guys did not pass a Southwest interview with a 737 type, but felt they were entitled to be fairly merged into an airline with higher pay and better work rules. Just an interesting take on the high and mighty attitude from the F9 guys. Just try to keep in classy for the next few months before the doors close mmmkay guys?!?

At least two of us DID. That's beside the point. The position of Lynx, MEH, and F9 pilots was that there is a career progression. The vast majority of the F9 pilots are qualified to interview with SWA. About half of the RAH pilots are not (that's not a slam, it's merely a reflection of the hiring requirements).

People leave RAH for F9 and SWA. Nobody leaves SWA and F9 for RAH (please correct me if I'm wrong on that). People have gone both ways between SWA and F9 (yes, I know it's much more one way than the other).

Okay, I can't effin' believe that I'm reading that the F9 pilot group is even CONTEMPLATING taking a paycut. YHGTBSM!

Let me preface it by saying that I truly do feel bad for you guys that you have to work for such a POS life form as BB. What a pile of scum. Even after some of us AAI guys have started to get the cold shoulder and much less than warm receptions on your jumpseats (not sure why, but okay), my heart still goes out to you.

However, are you flipping insane?! This lower life form called BB is running your company into the ground. There will NEVER be snapbacks or profit sharing. Unfortunately, it's no longer the Sean Menke Frontier. It's the BB/Republic Holdings Frontier. Learn from the past. Once you agree to concessions with your type of management, the chances of you getting it back are slim.

It's the same scenario of a management team that doesn't truly know how to generate revenue so they try to cut costs no matter what. I believe that someone quoted the Albert Einstein definition of insanity a few pages back.

While it's easy to armchair QB when you're not the one who's facing a potential loss of a high five figure, or even a six figure salary, come on guys. Do you really think that taking paycuts will actually "save" F9? The only thing that will do that is a management team that actually has a clue on how to run an independent airline. At least save face in the meantime.

I just can't fathom FAPA and it's pilot group falling for this. I'm sure the vote's going to go down as something like 90% "NO". MAX PAY TILL THE LAST DAY. Don't worry about the rest of us behind you having to follow at single digit taxi speeds. Personally, you'd do me proud if I had a 15 minute taxi for T/O to 1L behind a Bus in MKE.

Now that's a fine example of an emotional argument. Give me a rational argument about how F9 avoids bankrupcty with the cash balance the way it is. Would you also say to Airbus, GECAS, Expedia, etc. that they shouldn't just "fall for it"?

BTW, BB said he's fine with saying "full pay to the last day" if we want.

Why don't you give me a rational arguement on how your employee concessions are going to save your airline. Seriously, I'm pretty young but I'd like to think that I've learned from aviation's past. It's a crying shame that you poor guys find yourself in this situation, but if I were you, when the time came I'd see just how okay the Reverend was with "Max pay till the last day". I'd do my part to see that MKE and DEN were nicknamed the "Bus Parking Lot".
