Curious: Did F9 Pilots fall for the trap?

FWIW,
PG put out a response to all of this on our Local boards. The jist of it being this is another Hail Mary that the NMB will quickly deny. Again, single carrier status has already been ruled. The only way out is for BB to actually sell off his baby. Most of the RAH guys did a face palm today not over this, but the airbus announcement, you got played by the goons in IND.

Now for the "Hail Mary", the face palm usually comes after a successful one, not when the defense sees the quarterback winding up to lauch the deep ball.

Please don't put any pictures of RichRod in Michigan gear up on this or any other website. We here in Michigan are trying to forget that chapter in our lives ever happened. Thank you for your compliance in this matter and carry on!

I'm thinking you are feeling the same pain the Colorado Buffs fans are after the Dan Hawkins debacle.

I was just taking a peak at the orders coming out of Paris... I find it rather amusing that 95% of the airlines on their have firm orders, whereas Republic's new Airbus order is simply a LOI. I wonder why every other carrier can have confirmed orders, but RAH is LOI only...

From the IBT response to the NMB:
"This is not the first time the Carriers subject of this proceeding have used the tactic of changed operations to avoid a representation election. In Frontier Airlines, Inc., 24 NMB 635 (1997), Frontier requested a delay in the representation election among its mechanics and related employees involving the International Brotherhood of Teamsters by asserting that its planned merger with Westpac Airlines created single carrier issues that warranted a delay in the election. 25 NMB at 640."
Does anyone know if Willy Wilder filed that request for a delay on behalf of the IBT?

That could be the case. I have zero idea how all the deals work out, but the only reason I asked was due to the fact that it seemed everyone else already had their deals done except for RAH. Is this LOI for Airbus deliveries any different than the original LOI with the C Series that seemed to be more of a posturing and leverage plan? Just thinking out loud, if BB was able to place such a large LOI with the C Series and drop out with no ramifications, then this order could easily turn the same direction correct?

Frontier Orders 80 Airbus Jets After Bombardier CSeries Deal - Bloomberg
“It is an effort to get Airbus some publicity and for Republic to get some positive publicity,” said Bob McAdoo, an analyst at Avondale Partners LLC in Prairie Village, Kansas. “It doesn’t commit anybody to anything and has no short-term financial impact.”

Cause you can go to a better airline with more competent management(maybe) with better benefits with a lower probability of bankruptcy and failure.(maybe but its better than RAH)
