Part of our revenue problem is the fact we are providing jobs for 145 and 170 crews with a large CASM and fuel through the roof. Get them off the branded side make a few more changes and we'll see how it looks then. I just don't understand why you guys don't get it that you are part of our problem.

Revenue must be generated through new markets... perhaps point to point, outside of the Denver market ... where competition will only get worse as Frontiers finances worsen and they become victims of the predators (UAL and SW). Staying in certain markets with the use of RJ's is a very fine line to walk.... as... is the feed generated worth it now or in a possible better economy that may or not follow?

Good point "cost": The cost of the smaller jets fuel burn per seat mile.
Fish, Yes SW did come after F9 no doubt about it. They have definitely made it difficult and with the FFD management of RAH we have stumbled, but I don't think we are done just yet. SW made $5M last quarter on $2B (i think) in business. Far better than F9 did but don't count us out.

Slum,
I'm well aware of pricing and the network. We have to much competition in Denver with 3 carriers going at it and the other 2 have deep pockets. The DHs are fricking ridiculous these days. I have DHed with my entire crew on 170s twice this month. We are taking up 7%ish of the seats on those flights. We have our problems, but move the little jets over to the FFD side of the balance sheet and the scales will look more balanced. My point is we are taking losses for the FFD side that we shouldn't be taking.

They already are doing that. 170's to DL and the 145's now operate as Frontier Express so the losses they see hit the FFD. As long as it's all RJET stock it still hurts the bottom line. Until we understand frequency and size are the only way to compete in today's merger happy market we had all best keep our resumes up-to-date. The junior folks in the end shall have the advantage as we won't be held hostage on a sinking ship.
We need another hub.

Too bad they didn't have 11 fuel sipping Q400's instead of those guzzling EJets... oh yeah, they DID!
40% less burn and sold at a loss with penalties for getting out of the leases.
Just when you think RAH management can not be any dumber... they TOTALLY go out and redeem themselves!

Ya, the problem is the 170s are still flying on the branded side so I don't know how they are going to separate the Branded/FFD on the next quarterly report. As a result it may be 2 quarters before we have a chance to see the real numbers.
BTW Do you know when all the 170s are gone from branded flying?
Mark my words though, the IBT is going to scream murder when those numbers come out that BB is cooking the books as they try to continue contract negotiations for the 4 or 5 year.

I think you are confusing the two companies being integrated vs. small jets loosing money on branded side. While it's true that they're loosing money, the planes wouldn't go anywhere unless Frontier was sold off totally. Bedford gas no place to put them, and they're cheaper loosing money on branded side then not flying at all.
Loosing those planes does not affect us as we are extremely short staffed. I'm sorry you guys were in the position you were, and got purchased by RAH. I don't care about your Airbus, Denver or Milwaukee. I do care about making sure this company doesn't continue ****ing us left and right. I hope you understand it's not about you. For the most part being integrated into IBT doesn't change a thing for you as your CBS remains active as do your commitees, and status quo for seven years. Just like RPC, which was an ingenious move by the way.

SSMR,
That is my point. We are loosing money flying them on the branded side, we can't make money with THOSE airplanes in this environment on the branded side. With FFD contracts getting paid to fly from A to B and not paying for fuel you can make a profit. So if RAH doesn't have a contract for them, then we loose money on the leases, etc. If BB could park them he would, but it would cost more to park them than fly them on the branded side. He has figured that out and managed to move the 170s but has no where to put the 145s, thus Frontier Express to start breaking them out.
But most here think F9 is the cash drain when is it really providing jobs for the FFD guys.
