Delta is trying to get rid of them?
No a minority of delta pilots are trying to get rid of them and have been for over 2 years.
If a majority of delta pilots wanted this it would be done already but the reality is that a majority of Delta pilots still see the value in ALPA over an in house.
And None of them would tell you they would accept the DR over ALPA and that is your position Southern.

So, if you want my vote, and the vote of people like me (there are more) drive for in-house. We may not be enough to swing it this time, but I have to vote my conscience. You vote your way, I'll vote mine, and let the chips fall where they may.

Two things to take away from this thread:
1) If you support a CBA, fill out a card and send it in. A card at this stage is a vote for representation, not necessarily ALPA. If enough cards get sent in, then vote for who you want to represent you when the time comes, be it ALPA, Teamsters, in house, etc.
2) Some people should really not drink and post.....

Quick labor economics related question...............
Are you better compensated and protected than your ALPA peers?
I know darn well you're not!
Could you explain to me what benefit you are enjoying as a result of not being represented by ALPA?
I'm not seeing a single benefit. Maybe you could point out something I'm missing?

Clearly you are not that bright. The 321 will not be bid as a separate fleet. It will not be flown only by senior pilots. The trips will be flown by junior and senior alike. Your talking points are straight from F&H and, yes, that does make you a management lackey.
Not volunteering for the OC and quoting management talking points makes you the adversary of those trying to improve JetBlue pilots pay and benefits.

As far as trying to improve pilots pay, you are trying to improve SOME pilots pay, while distracting energy, time and FOCUS away from improving our overall pay and benefits by pursuing an industry nonstandard pay rate for a minority of airbus pilots.

Sure, we might see some immediate gains, but I would rather have status quo than invite them on property. I'll wait for an in-house vote. Until then, I'm a solid and resounding NO.

Wow I certainly hope Southerner isn't the typical B6 pilot..... You really sound ignorant in your above post on ALPA. Go ahead and continue your conspiracy theory on ALPA. Like any union those who you put in place/power will dictate how good or bad your local association is......
How's your Aeromedical, Veterans Affairs department, Safety, ASAP, Government Affairs, oh yeah and insurance benefits?
