Just when you thought it was over, NWA tries to put it NWA/DAL together again.

How fitting DALALPA allowed the destruction of SCOPE which allowed whipsawing at the regionals and now they are trying to bring whipsawing to the major level. Congrats DALALPA you have earned the Frank Lorenzo Award!!
The only way we can win this fight is for DALALPA and NWAALPA to drop those titles and work as ALPA pilots.

ALPA is really like the republican or democratic parties. You have the national party but the politics is played out at the local level. Senators and Representatives will always unite for the national party but will splinter when it comes to anything that will harm their own constituents.
I know of no specifics on this latest deal but the DAL MEC is the smartest MEC when it comes to understanding how business works.

I think the Lorenzo award is a little harsh. No DAL pilot that I'm aware of has ever crossed a picket line. I have been on strike before and went the duration. DALPA tried to get an agreement, NWA's negotiators sought to protect the NWA pilots last month and didn't consider us in their proposals. If an SLI had been reached that favored NWA pilots and penalized DAL pilots do you really believe you would have been up in arms over this?

Also, the last statement is Not needed, these are the statements that divide us. How can YOU really compare MEC to MEC? did you work for NWA? Are you on the Neg comm? I am not calling you out, but again, if you do not directly deal with them, you do not really know. I WANT to see a unified group that trys to do what is BEST for ALL. I understand there will be some compromise on both sides. If this is going to happen, which it probably will, then we need to work together, b.c. if we do not, WE ALL will get screwed more!

What goes around come around...
Isn't that what the NWA seniority negotiators were doing, being NWAAlpa pilots instead of being ALPA pilots?
Weren't they interested only in what was best for the NWA pilots, at the expense of DAL pilots or what was best for the merged company?
You can't have it both ways.
JMHO, I could be wrong!

What goes around come around...so you think it ok for DALALPA to attempt to screw fellow ALPA brothers by backdooring it with mgmt?
Isn't that what the NWA seniority negotiators were doing, being NWAAlpa pilots instead of being ALPA pilots? At that level of course its MEC vs MEC to negotiate but when one group goes to mgmt as apposed to working with the other MEC, there is a problem
Weren't they interested only in what was best for the NWA pilots, at the expense of DAL pilots or what was best for the merged company?were you in on the negotiations? I am not ignorant enough to pretend to know what went on behind closed doors since i wasnt there.
You can't have it both ways.

No, what kind of mentalitly is that? NWA alpa has been working with DALALPA(they werent agreeing but they work working together), DAL MEC is the ones that went running to mgmt of all people to try and sneek behind the NWA guys.
