one of you jokers has gotta be that know-it-all (junior) FO who sits on reserve in the crew room and preaches to anyone, even senior captains, about how things oughta be and how he “knows” this and that. Give it a rest.

"Break the cycle
The company is going to do what they want to do. They always have, they always will. They said they are going to shrink the airline. That's the plan. When they realized they couldn't keep up with the training for their plan they came to to pilot group asking for help in the form of VEOP. Junior guys thought VEOP's were saving furlough's, they were not. The purpose was to relieve stress on all the training needed to do their furloughs.
ALPA doesn't furlough! The company furloughs. The only effective way ALPA can mitigate furloughs is to make it as expensive as possible for the company to furlough. This TA makes it cheaper for them to furlough. If the company negotiated cheaper furloughs it because they are still planning to furlough. Taking concessions to "try" and prevent furlough's isn't breaking the cycle. Breaking the cycle would be if we stopped letting management outsmart us."

8 hour credit reduction will make it cheaper for Mesa to furlough come January, think about it!
68 hour credit will remain for the foreseeable future for the remaining pilots on property.
Not only that, but recalled pilots will came back to the new normal, 68 hours.
Stop letting management outsmarts us.

I was responding to MJ saying one 10 hour day of ready reserve was unbearable to him smart guy. Not that 18 months of reserve was a ridiculous, it isn't. I've actually enjoyed my time on reserve. You should really read the conversation before responding and embarrassing yourself.
You just keep doing you, as you’ve amply demonstrated here “you” are the only one in the world that matters.

You’re insane. It’s a temporary LOA that only lasts 3 months and requires the approval of BOTH the company and the MEC to be extended. You’re so full of BS.
Honestly, get some help. You’ve actually lost your mind.

What on earth are you even talking about? How on earth would that LOA make it cheaper for the company to furlough? Explain.

8 hour credit reduction for everybody
Followed by 250 furloughs in January with 68 hours credit the new normal. You voted it in, bro.
Read the Union email, they can extended without another vote, and company can furlough as they please.
Company wins, you lose either way.

you know what will? A furlough. The company is gonna kill the pilot group with the next contract if there’s furloughs. Wanna know why? Because there’s literally gonna be thousands of guys vying for a job. You remember what it was like the last time 10,000 guys applied for 1 job? Pay to play big guy. Say bye to any contract improvements if there’s furloughs. Go ahead and ask me how I know.
