Actually the crews to pick up the 175s have already been picked and we are taking deliver of 5 per month starting in a few weeks. The issue was that Johnny-O couldnt get the same rates from the bank as he would of per covid. He was delaying the delivery until the rates dropped or UA co-signed the loan. Embraer is refusing to delay any further so JO will be getting the financing (dont know the details). But, I have spoken to a few of the CAs that will be going and they are being told to be ready. Everyday that passes I am more and more certain the furloughs are a farce. We have yet to even see any displacement bids. Also how can we keep the whole maintenance and FA groups if we loss 30% of the pilots. How about JO take a pay cut and take one for the team if things are so bad. A 30% pay cut for him would save at least 200 of those jobs.

I literally just finished talking with a check airmen who is on the delivery team. He said it will be 5 per month. He is also thinking about running for MEC chair and he is definitely against concessions. Lol

JO made the statement that he’d like to be the only regional that doesn’t furlough. Uhh Does he think we are all lemmings? Skywest has no plans for furloughs.
They are paid considerably more than us. So how can they afford to pay their pilots? Come on guys. We took a pay cut coming to work for Mesa. All JO is looking to do is show the shareholder that he can squeeze the pilot group for enough money so he can get a bonus for increasing the stock price.
it is better to be furloughed than to take a pay cut. If they reduce our pay, then we can’t just quit and draw unemployment. We wouldn’t qualify if you volunteered to leave.
So guys having a company attempt to keep you on staff at below unemployment rates is insulting and detrimental to doing the right thing for families.

When is the union going to speak up and get our proper notice for monthly bids. If they know what the flying is going to be like next month, then why are we waiting until the last minute to bid and know our schedules? That sounds like a concession all in its self. Have we got anything in return for that?

What is interesting about this is interest rates right now are at an all time low for things like home loans and personal loans. The fed has been doing everything it can right now to encourage lending. So while I have no reason to doubt these difficulties it is happening in an interesting environment.

Dead set on no concessions. Making $1700 a month is not worth keeping this job. When you consider the costs associated with sitting a reserve gig, that’s where you’ll be at as a second year FO. It’s not worth the time for that pay. . . How do you not see that?
assuming an average of $250 for a crash pad the take home pay is about $1700 sitting reserve for a 60 hour min guarantee. You need to find a job paying $14 an hour working 40 hours a week to beat that. It’s not going to be that hard to do. . .
anyone wanting to give concessions is either dumb, ignorant. It’s mind blowing.

EXACTLY!!! No Concessions, Hold the line gents!!!
Accepting a lower guarantee is basically allowing JO butt rape us with a plastic dildo.
I signed on to get flights hours quick for lower pay, not to sit at the bottom on reserve flying nearly 0 hours making peanuts for years.
Furlough hurts, but they need us more than we need them. I never need a job enough to justify making less than $500 a week. I have bills to pay and mouths to feed. JO’s isn’t one of them.

JO take a pay cut to 250k a year and let’s talk, otherwise go F yourself. I’m not here to make you rich. I’m here to make a living while serving the community of people who rely on us to provide affordable air carrier service.

The days of kicking around and strong arming hard working pilots are over. This generation of MESA Pilots are organized and not going to tolerate unfair business practices.
MESA PILOTS SAY NO CONCESSIONS
76 HOURS OR NO FLYING
just look back at a time where the company held you to the Pilot Working Agreement (PWA).
Getting called on your last day of reserve when they have other people to cover?
Sitting ready reserve for days on end?
Booking deadheads to one way legs back to Base to save buying you a hotel room.
The company holds you accountable for following the PWA, and now it’s your time to hold them accountable. They agreed to pay you, then make them follow the agreement. They will hold you accountable if you don’t, so why allow them to not follow it?
