Last time I checked, aircraft have clocks and flashlights. This isn't an apt comparison. The iPad requirement here is unprecedented in the industry right now.
The ipad is not required for those here before, several pilots still use the paper. I agree it should not be mandatory for anyone. Stop coming here.

Well... I bet you could throw Horizon up there and expressjet, Envoy has some awesome reserve rules. Skywest has some descent FO pay. All of these have a lot better of contracts then Mesa. Where is that ALPA document that compared all the regionals pay? You could see Mesa at the bottom off all the comparisons.

Which is great if you plan on being reserve forever or a regional FO for a decade, then it is wonderful!

Thats not what he asked. He asked about contracts. So if you want to talk about contracts, that would be great. We can have this debate over and over again about quick upgrades. I didn't respond to anything about a quick upgrade tho.

This is not the appropriate forum to be asking about everyone else's contracts though. I myself and I'm sure a few others are tired of you "legacy" regional guys coming in here and knocking our gig. We get that you don't care for Mesa...now move on please!

You really just have to ignore it. They're butthurt.

You can't blame them... How would you feel if you were a 5+ year FO at Skywest or Expressjet and you saw these guys upgrading at another regional in 16 months.

I'm jealous of their quick upgrade but what can I bash them on. Oh yeah, I've never really examined their contract but I hear all over the internet it's not as good as ours so I'll use that.

"Hey I might be a 6 year FO at Skywest but at least my contract is better!" (See I got those Mesa guys good!)

You guys will never get it! So long as JO can fill his classes there will never be any need to improve the terrible pay at the regional level! If pilots where only willing to work for the best paying airlines with the best contracts companies like RAH and Mesa would have to shut their doors or pay better! I get it though, it's easy to go to Mesa! Weren't you at RAH before? Your decision making skills are in question! BTW we don't care about your quick upgrade! We do care that these companies pull the ENTIRE airline industry down and that includes mainline, you guys would love the opportunity to fly bigger and bigger equipment for your current wages.... remember when regionals were only turbo prop? Before you know it 737's and A320's will be added to your certificate! When you guys get to mainline are you going to suddenly have a change of heart and fight to protect scope or are you going to continue to say it's out if your hands, that's managements decision? We have a longer upgrade because we were not willing to vote for more concessions to match the PSA's and MESA's of the world so at least we are trying to better the industry. I have NO problem with the LEGACY MESA guys either, they were dragged into this mess but mine and everyone else's problem is that people are just ignoring these facts to hopefully get a quick upgrade and the hell with everyone else!

I didn't ask the question about contracts, I answered him. So please address the guy that did. You should take a look the the document your MEC put out where it has line graphs comparing all the regionals and their pay, accrual, per diem , etc. Mesa is at the bottom of every single one.
