If you hire an ATP grad, you know they will not struggle with procedures, call outs, and CRM.
I cant speak for ERAU, but theres no denying the name recognition.

Probably not much of a difference. But you gotta think of it from a public image sort of view. If there was a tragic accident and they go into the pilots background blurting it all over TV. Who would the airline rather have? An ATP wonder pilot who got all of his ratings in 12 months? Or someone with a four year degree in the profession in which they have chosen to make a living?

ATP is the community college of flight schools. You might finish, but you didn't learn much.....half the students are constantly stoned.

I can normally spot those tools by them going bananas over the front desk lady who is clearly a 4....maybe a 5 at best after a few complimentary charcoal filtered cocktails.

I've heard some pretty bad things about ATP but at least they use a DPE for their checkrides. At Riddle most of the checkrides are done in house with an examiner who is an employee of the school. It's in their best interest for the applicant to pass on the first attempt. Someone could fail every in house "checkride" but still have a clean record in the eyes of the FAA and in airline interviews. Not saying their students are crap but it wouldn't be overwhelming difficult for one to slip through the cracks.
