It ended up going all the way down to a couple of May 14 hires. EJET FOs are now upgrading to CA in the EJET.

Once all the aircraft have been delivered, upgrades into the EJET will slow down significantly giving a chance for the guys and gals who didn't meet the minimums this time around to catch up. I anticipate in a couple of months it will jump back up to late 2013 / early 2014 hires as that happens, but that is a WAG.

Thanks for the response.

Forgive me for not looking more carefully, but are the minimum requirements 1000 hours time in 121 ops? If not, what minimums are required for the ones not meeting them.

Thanks again.

Yes, 1000 hours in air carrier ops is what seems to be holding people up.

There isn't going to be a slow down on EJET upgrades as the intial cadre returns to the CRJ this summer and the upgrades spool up for next set of EJETs. FYI

Thanks again.

About how many flight hours per month do the FO's average on the EJET?

Seems like mostly new hires are manning that airplane since Mesa started getting them last summer. I could be wrong though.

There are only a couple more upgrade classes planned right now for the EJET. Several of the initial cadre guys are planning on staying. They have a 2 year deal too, so unless some of them are itching to get out early, they'll probably be in IAH until the end of the year or early into next year.

The Mesa pilot contract does not allow FO's to bid between aircraft as an FO, so all EJET FO's are new hires. I would say the average line value is in the 80-85 hour range.

I'm one of the FOs that's had a line since IOE and benefits from all your questions because I honestly don't know most the reserve stuff.
