That's not what I meant to say. I said go take Shara for drinks and ask her for a recommendation.

Correct. I just finished ground school and waiting on the final details for the CTP. PM me and I'll get you in touch with the Mesa rep working on the CTP.

Are there referral fees if we recommend an applicant at Mesa?

Mesa flight was delayed in Montreal this morning by five hours because (they're saying) one pilot's medical expired March 31 and he wasn't legal to work the return flight this morning. They had to deadhead someone in to work the flight for him. Sucks for all involved but just curious how that happens and first responsibility is the crew member of course but the company doesn't have an alerting system on crew member certificate dates?

Yes, they do. Crew Quals sends out an email about a month out as a reminder. Supposed to have it in by the 25th of the renewal month. Above all else it is the pilot's responsibility to stay on top of it.

That is hilarious. And uhh yeah they have crewquals which emails you a month before and reminds you, then AGAIN a week or so before. Totally the pilots fault ... I mean come on man... You should know these things and when in doubt ask.
