I'm going to Mesa to get a 175 type rating to fly my a:::£ off get a 1000 hrs or so and move on if I don't upgrade in 2 years. I have the 121 TPIC so when the chance to upgrade occurs I'll be ready.
How many Mesa FOs are eligible and willing to relocate to upgrade? Attrition will account for 20 per month plus 100- 80 to upgrade. An FO could move up 250 in a year, best case.
Reserve stinks, ready is worse, being an FO making peanuts is priceless, buy an FO dinner and thank them for being there.
I ran the numbers, looking only at regionals with newer equipment and movement, most boats have sailed. Maybe Compass is still good, if SEA ? SFO ? or LAX can work for you.
If I was in my 30's maybe Envoy, I don't trust AAL..
Flow, pay, SJS, upgrade, crew bases, and QOL are different for retired military than for a 24 YO. We need currency in 121 and a type rating to get out of the regionals. The flow is too long and not an option to depend on nor is a quick upgrade.

You do realize you can get this at any regional, and they all pay better than Mesa.

1.) You were doing so well, but you just had to come back.

2.) What elite flight school did you learn to fly at, anyway?

Anyone have any idea how long someone could be on a leave of absence and come back without having to go through any kind of training? Just come back and fly?

90 days for takeoffs and landings, I'd think.

What's PSA projected growth v attrition ? What's New airframe occusitions for 2016-2017 and flow to AA? How many total FOs? Can you flow without upgrading? APC shows CLT and CVG, with Delta cutting back at CVG that could be a tough commute. Are their other bases are also hard to commute too? Is PHL a base?
A new hire could end up in DAY or TYS on reserve for how long? That's an impossible 2 leg commute. Pilot group looks similar to Mesas, is growth /movement / attrition better?
So, Mesa or PSA? Pros v cons? What do you think? I always thought of PSA as Eagles bast...rd child. How we forgot to unify as regional pilots to get better contracts.
Who has the better training program, AQP?
