Exactly. I find this as well- I every flight I learn something and I do NOT like the fact that there are those, myself included, that may feel compelled to upgrade when I have those 1000 hours, purely for financial reasons.
That should NOT be how it works- sure, some will be ready to be captains and will do a great job. Will I? Idk- this is my first 121 gig and I'm just learning as much as I can. But maybe I won't feel ready when I've got 1000. Maybe I'd rather sit right seat for another 500 hours or whatever. FOs should be able to make a livable wage as FOs and not feel pressured to upgrade just for the higher salary- that will lead to bad things happening. Just my 2cents

Have at it.
It says 70k for First Officers on Indeed.com. The Mesa sight uses the same figure however utilizes the number to describe potential earnings above others.

They don't say $70,000 first year pay...they say you will make $70,000 more than a pilot at another airline over 5 years because you will upgrade quickly. This still false advertising, but not them stating FOs will make $70k right out of the gate.

Aaaaand we lost the Four Points Sheraton MCI.
PIT, CLT, MCI, etc.--seems like they just keep whittling down the hotel standards over and over and all you new hires just keep piling in here like lemmings thinking you're gonna upgrade in 18 months...sigh
Personally, I like to feel comfortable that I'm still disease-free if the need arises to walk to the bathroom barefoot, but it looks like our new hotel in MCI has 106 of 202 Trip Advisor reviews of "Terrible" and something like bottom-5% of Trip Advisor rankings for the entire area.

Well, if you go to Republic with their NEW contract, I know people over there as a 3rd year FO making more money a month than I am as a CA at Mesa, until they go bankrupt...

Classes are full because many people are aiming for that referral bonus. I have 100% faith in JO coming up with tricks to keep the classes full. The real problem is attrition, and only QOL improvements will slow that down.
