You only get what you negotiate
Your leadership sets the tone or lack off tone in better words
A weak leadership that thinks small of themselves will get small or nothing in your case during contract negotiations

There is no company out there willing to pay pilot raises brother

What incentive does the company have to work with the union anyway? The union can demand $55/hr first year pay and anything else they can dream up, Mesa will say "Nope", and life as we know it will go on.

The pilots themselves, not the union, have all the power. If you don't want to work for peanuts then go to a company that pays more. Eventually the pilot pool at Mesa will run dry and management will be forced to either close shop or treat their employees better - Not because ALPA said so, but because of simple supply and demand.

Mesa could not care less about labor relations or what the union says. They care about money and nothing more. If pilots start leaving in droves and flights start getting canceled as a result (hurting their pocketbook), then you can expect to see a decent raise. Until then, current book is what it's going to be. If the last TA didn't make this painfully clear, I don't know what will.

We've had 4 separate mec chairs during negotiations. Which one you want to blame? And explain exactly how you propose to make Mesa do anything Mesa doesn't want to do.

Regionals don't have the same leverage as you do at the mighty United

Simple. If you have under ~1.5 year there you leave. Don't participate In any employee referral program. If you know anyone at current 141 colleges and or flight schools tell them the facts of Mesa and have them tell their friends. Educate people about why a good contract is vital.

Saw that too. Has to be satire. She is one of the most rude and negative people at Mesa I think. Maybe it was a ploy by the company to try to give her some false credibility.

I asked pilots at Mesa this; you upgrade and then what? The big three really do not have any ties to Mesa in terms of hiring. ( United likes Expressjet, AA has flows etc.) Sure other carriers such as TSA are in the same position as Mesa as they aren't wholly owned, but one's pay/contract/overall QOL will be 100%x better while waiting for that next phone call.

Leaving as a captain would be silly, but as a FO you'll gain seniority fast anywhere if you move on within the next few months.
