You're wrong--it can give you the right to strike with zero involvement of the NMB (if you win it). The Allegiant pilots failed due to a highly-questionable and hotly-debated judicial opinion from the Nevada Fed District Court:
Allegiant Air Shows A Need For The Norris-LaGuardia Act - Law360
Read up on the Norris-LaGuardia Act of 1932. Your mileage might vary in a different venue with a different judge.

The advice I gave is probably the best advice many of you ever heard, and you all dismiss it. If you are not happy and you do nothing directly about it, you are a loser. You think JO whines about crap, and waits for others to do something, or goes out and makes it happen? The lifer at Mesa who is happy is a winner. The guy who is not happy at Mesa and leaves, is a winner. The guy who does nothing and whines on a forum is a loser.

Thanks, I actually ask questions from higher ups and people from the United mainline side. I talk to the chief and assistant chiefs when I see them in the hall ways. I know a lot of people think I'm a rumor mill as well. The CRJ 900 is on the the United pay scale and it looks like mainline is trying get some of the regional flying back using that aircraft. United is still trying to figure out if Ejets are efficient enough out of IAD witb the overnights and fly throughs from IAH. That's why we see them doing some of the 700 flying. They are testing the system. Information from a UNITED chief pilot whom I had pleasure to ask these questions.

I asked pilots at Mesa this; you upgrade and then what? The big three really do not have any ties to Mesa in terms of hiring. ( United likes Expressjet, AA has flows etc.) Sure other carriers such as TSA are in the same position as Mesa as they aren't wholly owned, but one's pay/contract/overall QOL will be 100%x better while waiting for that next phone call.
Leaving as a captain would be silly, but as a FO you'll gain seniority fast anywhere if you move on within the next few months.

over the past 2 months IAD base alone has lost 9 captains and 8 FOs to mainline carriers and Some LCCs. I'm sick of people saying wholly owned companies are better because of flow. We lost 17 people in One base. I don't know the numbers in other bases. I assure you PSA and endeavor aren't flowing through 20 guys a month. Mesa is ****ty yes it is. But mainline are picking us up without flow "Fact" so all the haters, trolls and red barons out there who say Mesa pilots aren't going anywhere are totally mistaken. Mainline is trying to gear up for their shortage as well. Think about it, flow programs are agreements with regionals interest of both parties regional and mainline. They can't poach all thier pilots. They can definitely poach mesa. Ill get hired with a mainline or legacy before anyone that started the Same time I did who has flow through program

So true, mesa may not be the best regional, but several of my friends who started before me are getting ready to move to mainline carriers.
