If you truly want to improve this place then step up and volunteer. Because the previous poster is right. It doesn't matter what name you put on the side of the union it's going to be the same people. I've been in this long enough to watch the very low turnouts when it comes time to elect LEC members; or vote; or just attend a meeting. Our pilot group likes to complain, but when asked if they want to help out or be active or (god forbid) give up a day off to make a difference. The resounding answer is NO

The MEC has new bodies. Expect to see new energy out of them, but remember, they are still up against Mesa management. Nothing is going to come easy, no matter who is in the union.

AH is not new and he's at the helm. He is not one I would want steering the ship. He voted YES and tried to shove that last POS TA down our throats and was condescending to the pilot group.

My .02 from an outside perspective... Mesa is going to be in big trouble by this time next year. But, so will a sleuth of other regionals. It's too late to simply offer more money. More money is beginning to not work at other regionals offering it (though they are still attracting a lot of new hires every month). It doesn't matter how many new airplanes you announce. If you can't attract new hires, no one upgrades. And as I said, simply offering more money isn't going to cut it and TPIC doesn't mean as much as it used to. So where does that leave you?

He might have voted yes, but he wasn't steering the ship at the time. Brian was, and he's not with the company anymore. AH can be condescending, but he knows the company very well. That with some aggressive new (or back to being new) reps from Dallas and we are going to hopefully get some things done. Having Marc. back, who was chairman for most of the development of the failed TA, isn't the answer (in my opinion).
