Industry full of liars yes. Was/is ATL ever going to happen ... of course not. Does the CPP mean one single person is really going to get to United any faster ... don’t hold your breath. But, if you look at the things that really are happening, the one truth is that there’s a bad moon a rising for Mesa, especially on the United side. And, don’t be surprised when the same thing happens in DFW not long afterwards with SkyWest muscling their way in. Mesa is in a tug of war that they’re losing, and management has no answers.
I just don’t think the CPP will ever be implemented. United isn’t going to help the American system. No other regional in the CPP has proposed allowing American-based pilots access to the program - only Mesa.
I guess it is possible a compromise will be worked out, but I see the CPP going the way of ATL. It will be dangled out there for 6 months, and then die.

Well, if the CPP is ever implemented here like it is at Xjet, then yes, guys will get to United much more. United currently takes 60% of their new hires through the CPP. With increased United hiring, that 60% has to expand.
I just don’t think the CPP will ever be implemented. United isn’t going to help the American system. No other regional in the CPP has proposed allowing American-based pilots access to the program - only Mesa.

You can't do that here. THe big differnce between CPP and ATL is CPP has United's name on it and required negotiations and approval from United. ATL is a Mesa decision all the way.

That's because the CRJ's never flew for UA. You could seperate the requirements at ExpressJet by aircraft type.

I don’t see United as the bottleneck to the CPP being rolled out to UAX based pilots at Mesa either, I see Mesa as the bottleneck.

Air Wisconsin hasn’t been publicly released, nor has CommutAir.
Lufthansa’s flight school in Phoenix doesn’t have a specific number, but it’s single digit numbers of pilots so far. Mesa’s amount is TBD or being kept a secret.

And, I don’t think United limits their options at all. They take pilots where they can get them.
What I do know is that very, very few pilots come out of non-CPP partners. For example, SkyWest publishes where their pilots go and only 1% go to United.

Soooooo......you can add all that up and try to imagine a world where that comes out to 60%........and you can also believe every word a recruiter tells you......
But you shouldn’t go around repeating it like you know what you’re talking about, as you clearly like to do with a massive sense of self-importance already.
For the sake of discussion, let’s say they are GOING to do that. That’s a HUGE leap from where we are. You being told 60% are coming from CPP carriers is akin to your company telling people there’s going to be an ATL base. You don’t seem to approve of that sort of thing, so I hope anybody listening to you does some extra bit of searching. The information I have provided is readily available all over these forums.
