If you think paint chips in the RVSM area aren't on a preflight, as well as other condition items, you quite literally aren't paying attention.
That would be like saying the condition of the tires isn't on the preflight. I'm sure you'll ignore whatever management tells you to ignore to keep the metal moving. Your VED days are a testament to that...

See this is what you do….. Paint chips, well paint chips in RVSM….. That just isn’t the whole story… keep moving the goal posts.

So are you angry about how you left?
I mean we all know it wasn’t your choice…… well technically it was but in the end it was only a matter of time.
Yet you keep coming on here posting as if you know. Move on. We moved on without you.

Nobody said in the RVSM area. And I can guarantee you the amount of paint chips that were written up in the RVSM area in all the fleets can be counted on one hand.

Talk about moving goal posts, this constant cat-and-mouse BS you guys play, yet scream from the rooftops on how you are professionals, amazes me. You aren't treated like professionals and you could care less. Management calls pilots in for calling in sick, putting pilots on NQC for finding legit mx write ups, and putting pilots on list for write ups and fatigue calls and yet for some reason, a significant measure of the pilot group agrees with management. Lazy pilots who fatigue, pilots who want to get out of pulling their weight by doing small write ups, or calling in sick. Why then do you hold signs up about low pay and being treated unprofessionally at pickets?

Haha what? I gave a month's notice and left on good terms. You know you are running out of defenses when you simply start making stuff up...

I don't move the goal posts because I play by the rules and don't constantly look for grey areas like NJA pilots and management do. If it's wrong, write it up. Using discrission and common sense can always play a roll in write ups but you can't ignore issues then call yourself a professional. They simply don't go together. Paint chips and scratches are paint chips and scratches. So whats the protocol for NJA pilots now? Don't ever write them up and fly it like that? Write it up on the last leg before an airline so you dump a AOG airplane on a new crew? Management tells you not to write them up and you salute and say yes sir, please give me another extended day? Where is the line drawn?

You found an airline job after you left. But you still can’t let it go.
Are you sad you left?

Actually it’s pretty apparent you haven’t been here for a long time. Things have changed. The company has a gotten a lot smarter as to what pilots are looking for. Is a paint chip and bonding strap anywhere in the preflight checklist? No. Is pulling a cowl part of the preflight? No.
The company has worked with the FAA to make it very clear what the pilots are responsible for.
Again this company has changed a lot since you’ve been here. They are a lot more focused and have their ducks in a row now for everything.
Your insight into NJA is fading away quickly.

"Sir, there was a dead body hanging from the vertical stabilizer but it wasn't in the preflight so I didn't care".
Read the definition of "check" on your manual. On pretty much every Part 25 airplane, paint chips have to be checked by a mechanic to make sure they are of size and shape that is acceptable.

If you're saying all you do on your preflight are the items on your manual, you should get a 709 ride and get all your certificates pulled.

Nobody said a dead body but opening a cowling to try and find a grounding item isn’t there either.

No, let him continue. I want to know more about needing a 709 ride because I’m neither an A&P nor a special guest star on SVU.
