What is the referenced article located? Is the Feds really looking at age for 91/135?

Thanks,

Yea the ratios would have to change to beyond the threshold stipulated in the CBA but if it did, the company has every right to exercise it.

The company and the union have concluded IBI negotiations and (shockingly) the parties have not reached an agreement.

In my view, the union should have saved themselves some time and told the company to pound sand when they included the phrase "cost neutral" in the email announcing the IBI. But that is just me...

What exactly was the company after in the first place? Did this have anything to do with the age 65 issue?

They've got a "productivity" problem. No specifics have come back yet but, in general, the company wanted more "flexibility" in exchange for more soft money.

Mandatory retirement was never part of the IBI discussion because the union simply CAN'T negotiate on that topic without risking a YUUUUGE DFR suit. You know, like the one YOU should have filed amigo. ;-)

WTFudge? They already own you when you’re at work... they want blood from a turnip now?

Man I hate to see how a once great gig has descended to this. Sad sad sad.

Maybe they could get the age 65ers to promise not to fatigue so the flights can keep going. I also think that if they pay pilots to waive rest and just fly 24/7, productivity would go through the roof!
