Default No class date

I was talking to a friend of mine who has been hired at Cape Air, but doesn't have a class date yet. He talked to HR recently and said that they weren't sure when his class date will be.

I'm interviewing in March. Class would not be until the end of the summer / early fall.

Anyone know where they might send the new hires in the fall to for bases?

Hey guys,

Thinking about putting my stuff in to Cape Air. Sounds like a pretty good place to get started on my career.

Currently I have 1300 total, 100 In flight IFR, 200 Night, 800 135 XC, and 65 multi.

Is this enough to be considered competitive for an FO or Freight position?

How senior is the LNC or HGR base? The reason I ask is that my dad lives near by and I can live with him for cheap.

Where do most pilots go after spending time at Cape Air? What type of doors can it potentially open?

As for flexibility. I'm a single guy and a bit of a nomad by nature. Sadly, I can fit everything I own in to a hatchback Ford Focus....

I would appreciate anyone's input good or bad.

After doing the phone screen, I got the sense that they are done hiring FO's for a while. Get to ATP mins and try to get on as a CA.

Any rumors/talks of expansion into the Northern Ohio/Western PA/Southwestern NY area?

...not trying to start one, just fishing for info.

Looks like the DOT just approved LEB-HPN flights, though I think the plan is to reduce a couple of the BOS runs instead of adding flights out of LEB. That's all I got for now.

LEB-HPN? That's cool. When's that starting up? I wonder what that will do to LEB's staffing...LEB already runs a ton of flights.

I talked to a CSR at Signature HPN Saturday. He mentioned Thursday and Sunday service to the Vineyard, Nantucket, etc starting "soon". Not sure what that's worth, but I figured I'd pass it along.
