There were a number of open lines on this last bid. Lots of TDY guys getting stretched all through the system right now.

Oh and Turbo...any talk of any of those long-time ATR captains heading back to the States? Saw a couple ATR FOs came back to the 402 recently (both are senior to us). Know if they're back for good, or do you think they'll bid the ATR again when they can hold left seat?

(By the way, I hate to always pick your brain about the ATR flying but you're the only person I seem to be able to contact about it )

Go to Cape for all the right reasons, but don't go there thinking it's your Blue Dart to a JetBlue interview.

Back in Jan '07 a guy was hired by JetBlue, but it was a surplus of -8 time, not the mocha spirit that got him that job. Since then, the grand total of people who have "flowed" through is...zero.

JetBlue just had an invite-only open house about two weeks ago. Any mocha guys get the invite to attend?

Good company, I give it two thumbs up.

There are a few guys that got invites; Anything from 0 Turbine time to former 121 guys. No interviews that I know of yet.

Flowthrough programs are marketing gimmicks.

Cape had a "flowthrough" with Executive Fliteways on Long Island. What a debacle that turned out to be. I think a lawsuit came of it, IIRC.

Not bashing 9k...again, KILLER job...just calling a spade a spade.

All interviews have already been scheduled as a result of the open house session held May 10-12th.

We don't have a flow through. There is an intern program but, those guys are still 2-3 years from being at that point.

That's awesome some of our guys got invited to the open houses. I was under the impression they were more interested in pilots with glass jet PIC; even the ATR pilots might have a bit of a tough time.

Just to set the record straight, Executive Fliteways did interview several Cape Air pilots and made offers to most but none took the position because of the requirement to live on Long Island. The lawsuit that you mention had to do with a Cape Air pilot who accepted a position but was not able to go to training because he did not pass the security background check. Apparently he was on some sort of government watch list and was not able to train on aircraft over 12,500 lbs. The lawsuit had to do with the Department of Homeland Security not Executive Fliteways.
