I worked in SJU over the winter and some pax were a little scared but if u had a good captain they were relaxed. Its a whole different kind of pax and flying down there, everyones on vacation and happy to be there. It was a great time in the south and I wish they would get turbines so I could go back in a heartbeat!!

I'm curious what the flying public really thinks, I hear "OMG thats a small plane" about the 1900 all the time", wonder about the comments when they see the 402.... Is 9K after all 6 cities or just the four? Also what happens to the other 4, if DOT votes Cape into these two cities. The only other carrier that bid all 6 cities, ( that I'm aware of ) is 3M and they wont do less than all 6, its just not cost effective (their proposal was all or nothing). Do the other 4 get re proposed, or start the process over again? FWIW I liked the proposal for a darkhorse company named Air Technologies, and proposed KA200's, and Chicago as a hub. But in the end, is anyone REALLY going to be able to get codeshare for this, with STL as a hub?
Wondering how this will all pan out.

Looking at the EAS proposal, we bid on 4 cities, but will take a minimum of 2. Not sure about anything with the codeshare, though. I bet something will be worked out.

They whine, complain, say they're scared, but in the end they buckle up tight and go flying. 9 times out of 10 they come back again after realizing a 402 isn't as scary as they thought it'd be.

I would assume they have to be, considering how much flying they do out of Albany to Massena/Watertown/... (I always forget the 3rd.. Og something).
Regarding Decatur, a Fortune 50 company based (#27 on the list) in Decatur told the airport they are not interested in 402 service to St. Louis - they won't be able to get their employees on board when they are used to CRJs/ERJ/717s out of Bloomington, only a 45 minute drive.
Cape Air said they need at least 2 of the markets, and with Marion & Cape Girardeau's support, it looks like they're in for something. CGI ops will be interesting, their FBO is also called "Cape Air"

The B6 codeshare is only BOS-PVC, HYA, ACK, & MVY.
But through check-in with AA is brand new this summer and won't hurt traffic in STL.

Hey robthree, add RUT to the B6 codeshare, too. Not that it matters.
