Ah damn - I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t think the corporate/135 side got kicked in the nuts quite like us airline dudes did.

ah such is life hope you guys are gonna do better soon!

I think everyone got screwed by COVID one way or another unfortunately. We definitely shouldn’t have had to take a 40% cut though as all our routes are government subsidized. I’d love to see the books. Our CEO has always thought we were overpaid so he saw an opportunity.

BTQ only runs scheduled routes, so they definitely felt it more like a 121 carrier than say, XO Jet and Netjets.

The only thing BTQ felt was the 8.5 million in free government money meant to pay employees less than a week after they announced a company wide pay cut for pilots. The CEO knew every detail about accepting the money and took the low road. There are two types of people here now, those who can’t leave due to low time, or those that are looking to leave. Now, new pilot pay is nearly that of a fast food employee, so there’s that.

I’m pretty sure BTQ has added routes during the Pandemic, so they can’t be hurting that bad.

I don't know what type of aid BTQ applied for and got, but the pay cuts definitely irked me as somebody who had left 4b 2+ years beforehand.
