Actually it will since most of those frames are replacing DHC8
2 things happening simultaneously- growth AND transition from all TP small town (SBY, MDT, ROA) airline to all Jet big hub (PHL) airline
Can you say massive movement?
Can you also say growing pains?
They go together on the bleeding edge

Nova, under the SSP, guys have been sitting in a "pool" for 6-18 months. Average seems to be a year.
With the new DGI that starts soon, once you get the nod, you go to training in the next class. No waiting around for months. But that's at LEAST 2 years away...

Anyone who is counting on either a flow or the DGI isn't going to have a very productive life. Yes, they are nice today, but when the market crashes, as it will sooner rather than later, you better hope your butt is parked at a place you enjoy going to work. I think PDT and EDV are both good places to be for a long time.
As the bigger airlines start needing more pilots, I think both the flow and the DGI will become moot points except for a select few people.

You weren't. Lots of good points here, and for sure, things are looking great for PDT, which is awesome for you guys. You deserve it. I hope other companies follow suit soon, and all of us are making the money and having the decent contracts we all struggle so hard to achieve. I've sent a couple of guys your way lately, because of the great things PDT can offer them.
No other industry fails to reward experience like this one does. If you're a doctor or a lawyer with 10 years of experience, and move to a new job, your new starting salary is commensurate with your skills. Here, you start at the bottom, as if you had just graduated flight school yesterday. It's sad.

I know people that know things. The downturn is coming, as you said, it's cyclic. I don't follow such trends, but I know people who do, and I trust their expertise. One guy was predicting 2007/08 in 2006. He was right.
What is a MSNBC?
Nothing saved me during 9/11, I had to choose another route, and so am just now getting back into the airline gig. The low oil crisis cost me my other job a while back. Things ebb & flow, for sure. Just hope you are where you can be happy when the low points arrive, as they will.
