That’s what I thought up until the point they started hiring. The amount PSA furloughed was about the size of our pilot group.

Interview

So I have a friend who had a CJO early last year. He was contacted today and offered various class dates however, he was told a captain would be calling him soon to go over things. Is this the abbreviated interview? Does anyone know what kind of format they are using (zoom etc..) also any help would be appreciated on what kind of charts and questions asked!

The way it makes sense is AA guarantees to give nPSA enough departures to keep everyone busy

Sounds very similar to the first interview but done via a video call. HR and Captain portion according to a friend. Didn’t sound crazy difficult.

Jetblue Codeshare

Anyone following the discussion on the JetBlue thread? As an outsider trying to read between the lines it seems their pilot group was presented a TA with a lot of AA RJ's doing a portion of the flying.

Perhaps this explains PSA's seemingly inflated planned pilot number?

JetBlue did that in the past when they were getting their E-190s they had ExpressJet fly some of those routes until they took them all.

We may get a much more clear picture of what is going on tomorrow morning.

That's what I'm thinking. Really hope that Dion tells us why the hell we are hiring.

I'd say with Envoy taking Miami for Republic to focus on NE flying that its more likely that Republic will get it.

Just a guess. Based on rumors. Rumors that DAY HQ was moving to DFW pre-Covid. So long term strategy being WO aligned with mainline bases and FFD being aligned with codeshare partners.

I've heard rumors that we would be taking over some flying in MIA as well, which could be aligned with B6 in South Florida. I hope AA didn't pull the trigger too early and allow PSA to start hiring in preparation if the TA is passed.
