I Love PSA

That wasnt what I was trying to do. If PSA and Peidmont merged, assuming they used PSA payrates, MANY Peidmont people would have the option to move to the jet with a payraise while many PSA people would be displaced to the Dash with a paycut. Probably half of PSA's seniorty list would get totally screwed in a merger. You think the hatred between mainline east and west is bad.

All this talk of a merger is a waste of typing. There will be no merger of PDT and PSA. US Airways wants as many different pilot groups flying for them as they can. As everyone knows, unity is power against the company. A strike by a combined PDT/PSA pilot group would cripple US Airways more than just a PSA or PDT strike alone.
ALPA sees the impact that a united PDT and PSA can make on our upcoming contract negotiations. They are putting significant resources into the effort. It is important that we all work together to achieve a fair contract that we all so desperately deserve.

"I can make the argument I'm a better stick and rudder pilot then an RJ guy due to the fact that we are always in the weather with half the automation you have flying a systems intensive aircraft that is fracking hard to land! But I have no idea how good of a pilot you are, so that argument holds no water, just as your position does neither."

I was DHDing out of PGV on Peidmont about a year ago. My FA and I were standing outside the hotel waiting for the Peidmont crew working the flight to come down and discussing what are dinner plans were going to be that night. Then this Peidmont FO comes out to get in the van and stands next to us as we were deciding if it was going to be a chicken or steak night. She then butts into the conversation and proceeds to tell us how much harder the Dash 8 is to fly than the CRJ becasue we dont really fly it. all we do is "push buttons" while you "actually have to fly the Dash". At first we were confused as this comment was irrrelevant to the conversation taking place. But then we realized something, she was right. I am not a very good pilot and I tend to struggle with the "button pushing". Thank you Dashgirl. I refer to that day as the "Awakening" for me. I have since set my standards really low and am never disappointed. I've never felt so free!
