I'm in the December 8th class and haven't been called for IOE yet. I have a buddy who is in the November 10th class and was finally called 2 weeks ago.

Is there a Captain shortage? Seems bids are being filled, although with several people just finishing FO IOE.

The posting called for 16 upgrades and the award only had 13 people. They had to cancel and re-issue the posting a week later because they needed to wait that one week to get at least 5 more people from the Nov 10 class through IOE and qualfied to start class. Some guys finished IOE less than a week before the upgrade class date. They may not be short of captains right now, but there's definitely a lack of qualified or willing people to go right now which will lead to a shortage very quickly. That's why they are taking prior 121 people from the December and January classes and expediting their IOE to keep the upgrade classes as full as possible.

Loved the CLT town hall video posted online. Long story short, PDT pilot "thanks" Doug for envoy's 145's but the best is the PSA recruiter whining over their crappy flow. According to her, it will take over 10 years for a new FO to flow and she doesn't know how to sell PSA anymore.

Doug basically told her tough sh!t as he has no idea of how they will "fix" the flow, only saying he will look into it. I'm sure PSA pilots would gladly take more concessions to get better then 48/year.

It would be more than 10 years for a new hire unless they increase the numbers. I think they will increase it here soon but I came here for the quick upgrade and pic time while enjoying driving to work until a major calls, if AA wants me to wait 8 years to start new hire class then I'll take my talents to Delta or United. You guys can have all the flow numbers you want, I'll take my critical day pay and SAP.

What's the incentive to increase flow numbers as long as there is an attraction of quick upgrades? Good luck taking "your talents" to Delta or United. There are thousands of other RJ captains that are still waiting for their talents to be called upon (who, by the way, don't have PSA stamped on their resume)

The video is on jetnet under CLT crew news, I'm not sure where it would be on your internal site.

You keep saying PSA is a career killer but fact is every week more and more PSA pilots are hired at United and Delta.

So PSA has a flow through agreement? Always thought it was just a guaranteed interview.
When did it change to a flow?
