Raise the pay? Excuse me you can't be serious- your company just voted in concessions in the form of a B scale, strictly FOR new talent!
And I'm talking about professionalism, I think it's seriously lacking in the regionals. This is a job that because of the responsibility demands professionalism and to argue otherwise because you can train anyone to do it is nothing more than a poor rationalization. I guess you and I don't see eye to eye on this issue and that's just fine.

How did Professionalism and holding the line work out for Piedmont??? Even PSA told AAG to go screw off when first offered the 900's. What did Parker do??? Sent those 900's to Mesa..... And he would've sent them to someone else had PSA said no again.
While we sit back and want to make the Regions more professional then they are the bottom line is we are all bottom feeders and are only as strong as ALPA will lets us be.
It Is what it is..... You are right maybe we don't see eye to eye on the Regionals but it's okay. We can both hope for a perfect world.

That said, there's still annual raises in the contract out to 2023 or something like that.

If you're referring to PSA (since this is a PSA thread and all) the 12/4 caps apply to everyone and went into effect when the first of the 900s were delivered. If you were above those then you were frozen at whatever step you were at.

The people above that were only frozen if they did not apply to mainline. There was a time limit set and if you did not have your application in, you were frozen. So the guys at 12+ years did not lose any pay.

Yes we did vote in our contract. And if we hadn't then the next airline would've. Piedmont was once the top Regional Airlines. Top Pay, Best Contract, Best Pilots. But we did we drop to one of the not so good airlines over the last 15 years. Why?? Mesa came in Started flying 145's for much less then us. Then Comes other airlines along doing flying for less money then what we were making flying 37 seat Turbo Props. Then we had people leaving PDT to go fly an EMB 175 for half the pay and half the contract.

I was referring strictly to professionalism and the responsibility each and every one of us has, mainline and regionals alike. You can and should act like a professional even if you are a bottom feeder and don't get paid a lot.

What's more is that PSA has a worse contract than Piedmont, pay caps for all not just new hires. Why would you call me out if you thought I was saying your contract was better than it actually is, and point out that it's worse than what I said?

Actually what's worse is pretty much every contract...and the way the entire airline industry pays. At pretty much every job I've worked...you get paid for every hour...including OT. At the Rail road you get a 4500 mo base plus 500 to 1100 per day for each trip you make. It's pathetic one would be ok with working a 10 or 12 hour day....but only getting paid for 4 5 or 6 block.........per diem is a joke too.....we will give you 1.25 or 1.75 etc....so Ya feel better......after realizing your working for free and getting ripped off. I guess it doesn't register for some after seeing 20 or 25 hours of credit for a 4 day trip......lol I just don't get it....in fact I don't even wanna touch the medical or retirement benefits at most airlines....
