So I guess it's manageable then...Im a complete stranger to 121, so all this is a new education for me. I'd just rather not have to continually come in a day early and stay a day later and use all my days off trying to get to/from work, if that makes any sense.
Is there such a thing as a middle of the day start/end trips? Like start mid day or evening and end the same way? From what you said it looks like if your 4 day starts early, you end early and vice versa. Just wondering if the only options are late show/late end and early show/early end? Thanks for taking the time to answer all these newb questions.

The nice part for you is that with the SAP, you can drop trips that don't work for you and pick up trips that do. Most other places do not have anything like that. As soon as you are a line holder, you can use this.

This is not true, not all line holders can trade during the SAP. Read the contract, only round 1.

If you end a trip at 930pm, you still have time to catch the last flight of home which is usually around 1030pm.

That's good. I know I'm being picky haha, but I'm wondering if you always end at 930pm if your trip starts with a late show?
Ideally, it'd be nice to be able to start with a noon or after show and end with a noon or afternoon end. Anything like that possible? Sounds as if you start late you always end late if I'm understanding correctly.

Of course round 1. I thought that point had been well established.

I would just try an move to CLT if you can swing it. Your commute will look great until the last leg when you pull up the radar and see some squall line heading straight towards CLT. Or landing on your last leg on 18R and knowing you have only 30 mins to catch the last flight home.

I'm not really in a position to move from my current town. Another option that was presented, was for me to try and drive to TYS, which is approx 5-6hr drive. Then crashpad the night before, and bid early shows, and drive home the last day of the trip and hope to get done fairly early. I would be able to drive in for long call reserve, and also Prob hold seniority quicker there vs CLT.
Any chance that would work better lol?? Maybe it just isn't meant to be haha!

It seems to me that you are going to have similar issues no matter which pilot job you take, unless there is something with a base in the city in which you live.

I commuted to the jobs I had before I came to PSA, and it is why I choose PSA. I didn't want to commute anymore.
