It's an internal letter that would never have seen the light of day if someone at national had not been utterly appalled by it. So no. It was intended to gain negotiating capital. (Facepalm) #getwhatyoupayfor

Anywho, I'm not being passe. I'm challenging you guys to produce language that you cannot because it does not exist. There is nothing negative in that letter for Eagle pilots.

As far as eating the bait.....I did get someone to post the letter. Do you think that was an accident? Do you like me again now?
I took it down.

Nothing negative other than...bring the pilots with the planes please? You do realize we had pride flying American Eagle right? That pride was taken away by AMR, AAG with PSA and PDT.

So going to work the same planes at PSA is like bending over again. No thanks, you can keep the CR7, they won't furlough. There's not enough people and also if they do our flow goes up, which means more PSA guys withheld

Don't spin it as its something positive for Envoy pilots, it isn't. At least for the ones that still have a pride flying and giving the 100% for the American Eagle brand and AA.

So because someone told you that someone is appalled by this you are now freaking out? I don't see what they did, sorry. Maybe it is in the rest of the letter.

Don't act like our freaking saviors. There is nothing in this letter that says anything like that. Instead, it screams of some desperate people trying to save themselves. I thought you were going to be one of the exceptions to the rules of PSA pilots. Instead, you are right on the bandwagon with them. I now question your own motives.

Tell ya what, I keep trying to head off to sleep. Tomorrow I'll do what I can to get a copy of the first page. If not I'll fill in the important stuff. I'll make a nice new post with all the pictures and stuff. I'll take these last 20 pages and make a brilliantly succinct message for all to see. Night!
I have no motives, and am not on any bandwagon.

I'm asking for proof that PSA's MEC had malicious intentions towards Eagle pilots in this letter. As of right now that does not exist. You guys are putting words in the MEC's mouth.

You and I have gone over this many times before. I deal with facts and none of you have produced any.

I don't spin, I don't speculate. Show me the part of the letter where PSA's MEC is trying to harm Eagle's pilots.

This tactic isn't working. Go stand in the corner and then come back and try a different one. Everyone sees through it.

Really? Facts?
So a letter signed by your MEC chairman sent to ALPA national saying that "It's clear the current plan is not working" and "if AAG is insistent on transferring the airframes it only makes sense to move the pilots as well to prevent understaffing". - isn't facts??? He just showed you a pertinent part of the letter and was even gentlemanly enough not to make you look foolish with the first part.

No facts there? Weren't you just on a soap Box a few pages back about how great your staffing is? Come on Colonel Jessup! Why, if staffing is soooo good at your airline, do you need our pilots to come Captain your/our ships?

This is all fine. If not one single Eagle pilot comes here that's fine, I'd even understand why they wouldn't. I wouldn't agree with that decision but it is yours to make.

I got to the hotel tonight and read like 8 pages of you guys blasting PSA's MEC for being scum, bottom feeders etc. My entire original point was that they weren't doing anything malicious. That point has since seemed to have been proven.

"Bring the pilots with the planes please?" That's all it is. It's an option that maybe some Eagle pilots may want to exercise. It's not some Lex Luthor, Pinky and The Brain style scheme to screw Eagle pilots.

Case closed.

There is about as much spin on this side to offset yours. You are correct though about this situation not being inherently positive for Envoy, but its the same issue of whether or not Envoy pilots should take street captain positions only dressed up in a cloak and dagger plot based on some half-baked pseudo-secretive union politics drama.

The "fact" is that there is a letter. There are no "facts" stating that this letter was in any way harmful or done with malicious intent towards Eagle pilots.

One sentence about staffing is not a soapbox. I simply stated that we have the staff for around a certain amount of acft. We currently have about 80 acft. We also currently have about 1200 pilots, in addition a class started yesterday and classes are full for the next few months.....at least. Those are "facts". I'll assume 200 non active pilots between mgmt/sim/med/adm etc. That leaves room for 20-30 additional acft RIGHT NOW.

It is apparent that if the pilots don't come with the planes, you guys are in trouble. I don't really care that much about that part.

What I care about as said before is what is best those pilots? It's not even an argument: you are very far off on your analysis of where we are at over here. I don't think you have a clear picture of or fleet plan for the next few years. It is very public. Bottom line: the planes staying here while you get staffed up is better for our pilots. Your union knows this. So yes. It is very malicious and underhanded in nature to try and get ALPA national to support something that is less beneficial for one group than the other. Very malicious. There is still even more to this story.
