Well, PSA doesnt seem to be having a shortage of applicants. Looks like after much research and dropping my own 5k on the CTP course, I was declined by PSA. Another guy I interviewed with, who was highly qualified and was also declined.
I cant speculate as to why, but I will say I realize im not gods gift to the airline world, but I only share to shut down the speculation that they are taking everyone that comes through the door.
fwiw, I meet all the ATP requirements, no negative job history, no check ride failures, military veteran with a bachelors degree.
So ive got 6 months to try it again with PSA, or look elsewhere.

Open a beer and drink it now open a second one. Click the button that says Mesa, finish the second beer. Has it been 15 minutes yet? If not open another and sit in front of the tv, when you hear the Drake ringtone and those beautiful words of congratulations on the other end you will officially have the excuse you need to continue drinking until its late enough to see the Vikings loose. Don't let your girl slow you down, you've earned this one. Or if the east coast if your thing just interview at Piedmont, the PSA bust will have been the best thing that ever happened to you. Seriously though hope your next interview goes better.
Yea, thanks, im actually not that tore up about it. Ive got a job now where I make 3x the first year salary, so im not in a rush.
Im just slightly interested into why PSA is the only regional that offers no carrot (no CTP, no bonus, no hotel rooms) if its so bad of a company? My point was not to have pity on me, rather, point out that they seem to have no shortage of applicants.
Im not in the industry at this moment, so I dont even have a dog in this hunt.

But that ship is setting sail and then when that's gone, the clock strikes midnight and the carriage turns into an old nasty pumpkin again and no one will look twice to take her to the ball.

Two words that draw the masses. Quick upgrade.

No. It's honestly not yet. But it's getting there and every person that comes through the door is gambling that it will be. However, those that learn about how this company treats people and cheats people are slowly learning it's not worth the years of unending captain reserve.

You need to take 30 seconds and find three spare brain cells to rub together and think about WHY that is. I'll give you a hint: it has nothing to do with the amount of resources that ALPA uses at mainline vs the regionals.
Mainline pilot groups OWN their flying. If AAG votes down a contract Parker can't call Anderson and have Delta pilots fly the airplanes with American paint on the side, unless American pilots give him that right in a CBA.
There isn't a single FFD carrier that has that kind of leverage.

Just because they run upgrade classes every two weeks doesn't mean the quick upgrade is there for new hires today. It means the people hired end of last year will upgrade soon. All the new growth captains were already hired. Everyone coming through the doors now are being hired to sling gear for 3 years for the people hired 6 months ago.
