You aren't unhappy? Could of fooled me with your posts. I saw it on the employee website. Isn't that communicating to the employees? You take a good thing and make it "disrespectful".

There is more money in originators going into the hubs rather than the opposite.

All of which has no bearing on where PSA puts their pilots. A pilot domicile has nothing to do with ticket prices, rather where to keep pilots, and especially reserves, to keep the operation running smoothly and efficiently. What good does having 30 reserves available in CVG/DAY/TYS when ORD/DCA/etc is in a ground delay program and flights are canceling due to no crews available?

I get to fly for a living (without worrying about getting shot at or in a crap hole country) and spend half the month at home with my family, I'm happy. I just won't allow management mouth pieces to backpedal.

That notice came out long after the world/internet was put on blast. The website update and email were sent out after the fact. How is informing your own people last a good thing?

This. You can get away with the outstation bases when your major airport is CLT and you're not running into delay-prone airports that much. But if you want to have a sizable presence at DCA, PHL, LGA or ORD, you're going to have a lot of issues without reserves at those airports to cover for the inevitable time-outs when thunderstorms or winter weather show up.

Was happy to see PSA took that from Republic. Unfortunately the only thing less reliable than RAH is a PSA originator in their bases.... Hoping this doesn't go south.

How can say this. If guys are displaced they will have to pull their kids out of school, ask their wife to find a new job, sell a house, buy a house. Not everyone is 23 who can just squat in a different town. Company communication helps employees plan their business. I don't wake up every morning and surf the employee website. They could also announce the planned size so employees could calculate the possible effects on them and plan accordingly. Its only a "good" thing for some.

Rumor from a friend of a friend of someone who may or may not work at PSA is that you guys are going to see mid-trip displacement fully protected - NO reserve; no long call or short call.

Well it is true. Mid trip displacement with no reserve and pay protected. Among other things. You will find during the road show.
