Talked to a kid in the airport today that just finished his interview. Said there were about 14 in his interview group. The majority got job offers at least, didn't know about everyone. Two more interview groups this week.

He said that most of the classes in the next couple months were almost full if not already full, but most of the guys in his group wanted January classes.

It sounds like you can still get an early class date if you want, but those interviewing in coming weeks may have to wait for February classes. That could be a problem moving forward.

That a bit disheartening if I choose PSA. My interview isn't until next week over Thanksgiving. I was hoping to be starting at the first of the year.

Just ask for the soonest class. I know many guys during 2014 and 2015 that would call recruiting and get moved to earlier classes as some people dropped off the list. I think they have increased the maximum class size to 30 again, and will likely have classes of 32 if they have to (like in 2014 and 2015). We don't want to lose good candidates because they can't get an early class date.

You should be able to get in soon if you are interviewing next week. It is the December interviews that might have to wait.

From what I have heard, PDT is having that problem as well. They are only hiring 20 a month, and classes are filling really fast. We are hiring 60-65 a month, so you should be able to get in if you interview soon.

If we are interviewing 15 or so a day, 2 or 3 days a week, those are great numbers still. We should be able to take additional flying on pretty soon, upgrade more, increase flow numbers, and open a new base.

When I was offered the position I was slated for a particular class, and I was very clear that as long as I could give two weeks notice at my then job I'd take the soonest class available if an opening became available. They called me a few days later and were able to move me up a class date.

YMMV.

I noticed in my interview email that Canada is a good possibility? It stated that all DUI/DWI had to be listed because of this new update.

I did a lot of Canada overnights with XJT and loved them.

Ok, that makes sense.
