Thanks, my bad I thought I was on their thread. Sorry for the trouble. I deleted my message in hopes of not causing confusion. Again, my apologies for flying with my head up and locked lol. Best of luck to you all at PSA!

I dont know if this applies to the new bonus, but I came on in early 2016 when the sign on bonus was only 5k. We only got a chunk after IOE and the remainder at month 10. I dont know if that applies still, but I could see them structuring the bonus in the same fashion if its 15k.

Thats for the people asking about having to repay the bonus if they leave. In our case, we just got what we got, depending on how long we stuck around.

Insane to go to PSA and commute from Chicago as opposed to live in base with Envoy? qol seems to seems to be horrible at Envoy and much better (sap) with PSA. Thoughts?

If I had a choice to live in base and still had hope of upgrade, I'd avoid the commute.

That being said, commuting to a round 1 line at PSA is pretty good quality of life. Weigh your options. Short term pain (commute to reserve at PSA until you can hold a line in about 6-12 months depending on base) or longerish term pain (sit reserve for a lot longer at Envoy, won't upgrade as quick, lines aren't as good, potentially displaced if you are awarded ORD CRJ). It's a tough call, but I can say after taking advantage of the quality of life the SAP here at PSA offers I wouldn't ever want to work for another regional. My family has been considering a move to Denver and I still wouldn't leave.

How long out of IOE do you think it'd be to get off of short call reserve in DAY or CVG? The chart a few pages back looks like 3 or 4 months, but is that all together (including training) or just once IOE is done? Also, Are trips amendable? For instance, drop the first turn on day 1 to make it commutable (or same on last day)? Are most of the trips from these two junior bases commutable to begin with? Thanks for the scoop.

Someone from DAY or CVG will have to answer that for you, however I can tell you that you can not break individual trips apart day by day or leg by leg in the SAP. It's all or nothing, take it, leave it, or swap it.

There will be a new chart in a couple weeks, when the December bidding is all done.

If we are filling classes, and you get in soon, it will be relatively quick. We have several CRJ200's that are "underutilized" will be getting more 700's. Upgrades will likely go back to +/- 20 a class, and FO movement will be fast again.

In 2015, reserve time was a couple months. Once hiring slowed down, it was a lot longer.

I think that AA has learned their lesson and will be more proactive in making moves to keep classes full. Once hiring slows, more incentives will be put in place.

From what I have heard, our interview groups continue to be large, and we the classes are starting to fill quite a ways out.

The chart you're referring to was showing from date of hire. Yes getting a full round one line and being able to SAP was only a mater of three to four months in CVG and DAY for new hires. A new chart showing December lines will be coming out later in this month once bidding is over.
