Being only 2 hours away, that would afford you the chance to drive home on those days when they don't call you. And since your window of availability wouldn't open again until 11 am the next day, you could spend the night at home and drive back to base the next morning by 11.
TYS is the bomb.
Speaking of last flights of the day, do you have a recommended website to see when ALL PSA flights leave a certain base (ie: CVG).

Thanks

Reserve rules require you to be released NLT 1700 unless you have a reserve assignment scheduled to depart by 1830. Scheduled to depart by 1830 - 30 minutes (minimum reduced show to takeoff for DH) - 1 hour call out for TYS... if you haven't been called by 1700 you have to be released by the contract -- 1600 at bases with 2 hour call out. When I drove for commuting to reserve I would leave at 1415, that way I was within 2 hours to turn around if they called.

Have fun with your short stint on reserve...

So how does it work if you get called out to fly on reserve? Do you fly all the legs for the person you are replacing? If you only fly one or two legs do you dead head back to base and stay on your reserve schedule? Sorry for all the questions,

Thanks

Only applies to your last day of reserve.

Good additional info I had overlooked. But I believe this just applies to the last day of reserve. Ref 25 G.3.a(2).
