Hmmm. You might want to look up the term scope clause.

It might be ok in Australia, but not in the US. Scope clause.

"If nothing changes with the retirements and hiring requirements at the legacies, not a single regional pilot currently flying will be left at the regionals"

There will be Pilots left at the Regionals because the Majors will not take the screwups! There are some of those in every Regional.

American didn't "buy PSA". PSA and Piedmont were both regional airlines owned by USAir. When AA and USAir merged, we were then defacto owned by AA.

50 screw ups at each airline is not enough to keep a contract airline running.

AAG will gladly take 50 screw ups. Where else do you think management comes from?

According to management were staffed for current flying... I'd imagine that, plus the two large upgrade classes that just went through, plus reduced winter flying play a part in that.

it was a strangely timed 30 pilot upgrade class however. Right before the new year ( just before the 62 or whatever it is starts to count for the increase in flow ), coupled with the fact it started I think the week of christmas or new years, when they new the training center would be closed?

And every single class after that has been 4 or less... nice one ALPA
