So one of the latest XJ memos says there could be a few upgrades on the 900/200 for increased block hours in the summer.

Well this is good news.

Anyore planned f'd letters being sent out after the Jan 10 set?

I know with the saabs going away there could still be plenty of furloughs coming with upgrades still happening. (anyone that isn't getting f'd will have to move to a jet anywho by 2012)

Good question. Any past Mesaba furloughees have any experience on what Mesaba or their CPs do if you get hired at a new company that requires you to give up your seniority number?

Well from what happened from what I saw during the scamruptcy of '06 If you resigned your seniority even while furloughed, you resigned and were no longer on the Mesaba seniority list. If you have a better opportunity, take it. If it's just a lateral move be VERY careful....

Does anybody here have an idea of when these realignment notices will stop? I know it's a basic question and the simple answer is when the staffing levels meet requirements, but that really doesn't help me.

Guess I'm wondering what their ulitimate goals are...

I suspect as long as we keep parking planes, furloughing pilots, and downgrading captains we will have to realign to balance everything out. I would guess that we will see at least a few more of these this year.

FOs voluntarily realigning to another FO slot on a different aircraft are subject to a seat lock, correct?

Yes I believe. I also think that you have a 3 year seat lock before you can make a lateral move from FO/FO on an aircraft. I could be wrong.

I don't think that is right. If an FO voluntarily switched seats yes you would have a lock. I don't thinK their is a lock if you are forced out of your seat.
