COMAIR will hire you if you have your commercial.

Did you get turned down by Eagle? I must be raining on your parade, or bursting your bubble. If you don't meet the mins, then instruct until you do have the mins. Nothing peeves a recruiter more than someone who shows up for a job fair not even close to the mins.

You don't get it...ITS NOT ALL ABOUT EAGLE!!!! You telling someone that they shouldn't go to a job fair because they won't get hired below mins is erroneous. My comment regarded every other airline and their policy on minimums... everyone has some sort of special story about how they got their airline job.

Telling someone to not go to a job fair is not a waste of their time but yours. He realizes he has low time but why not go and see what a job fair is all about.

A recruiter who is upset about a pilot showing interest in their airline rather some other shouldn't be a recruiter! Maybe once he goes to the job fair he'll realize that Eagle isn't the place he wants to go and you'll be there even longer because of your poor attitude.

Interns can get an interview at 500TT and 100Multi. Last time I checked.

I DON'T GET IT? I NEVER SAID IT WAS ALL ABOUT EAGLE. I SAID GOING TO A JOB FAIR WHERE YOU STAND A ZERO (0) CHANCE OF GETTING HIRED IS WASTING HIS AND THE RECRUITERS TIME. HE IS BETTER OFF SAVING HIS GAS MONEY AND BUYING MORE FLIGHT TIME. A RECRUITER GETS PAID TO RECRUITE QUALIFIED PILOTS, NOT LOW TIME WANNABE'S. DID YOU EVER STOP TO THINK THAT THE APPLICATION WEBSITES MOST AIRLINES USE MASK THE APPLICATIONS WHO DO NOT MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FROM EVER BEING SEEN UNTIL THE MAGIC NUMBERS APPEAR IN THE BOXES. A JOB FAIR IS THE SAME THING. THE RECRUITER WILL BE NICE AND SAY COME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE THE TIME REQUIREMENTS MET, THUS WASTING THE RECRUITERS TIME AND THE MISGUIDED LOWTIME HOPEFULL PILOT. I HOPE I SPELLED IT OUT SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND IT.

your ignorance is amazing. you talk about me having a bad experience but you sure seem adamant about something that is undoubtedly false. published minimums are just that...published. eagle may be stricter than others but I know of people who have gotten hired with less than that at eagle and most of the time at other carriers with lower than published mins.

The recruiters job is to serve as an interface between pilots and a company...they deal with those who are interested and those who are qualified. They are looking for those who are interested and qualified. Spending a few hours at a job fair is experience you can't get in the cockpit in the airplane because you saved money on gas.

Slow down, think about what you're saying for a minute, and realize that people start at different places. By discouraging people from going to these job fairs you are hindering your job security. Just because someone doesn't meet mins doesn't mean they can't learn.

you may stand no chance at getting hired at ups because you don't have the heavy intl experience, do you put the app in?

You want me to slow down and think about what I am saying! I highlighted the text in your reply. You said the same thing I have said. They are looking for qualified pilots. Qualified pilots is defined as meeting their minimums of total time, and any other relevant factors. Since you know a few people who have been hired at different airlines with less than the mins they are looking for why don't you find out what these pilots did to get the jobs and let the original poster know so he could do the same. You are bent on telling this guy that there is a secret way of getting hired with lower mins, clue him in so he can get a job with 250 hours and 50 mulit please.

I got an interview at a job once even though I was below the published mins. I was in the ballpark though.

So what you are saying is that he shouldn't fly to get the experience which will bring him up to the min tt requirements some airlines set. He should wait and let the tt requirements come down to meet his experience.
