Well said Confirmed. I think any new leader deserves a chance to prove his/her mettle to the rest of us. I hope he is willing to work with the unions, and that in return our unions are willing to work with him. A lot can get accomplished when people are in favor of working together--even if DS is still around.

While I'm not breaking out the champaign, at LEAST they both sounded optimistic, if not cautiously. I' know I'm going against the forum code of not being pessimistic, but they did SEEM to want to make the company prosperous. I know there is a lot we don't know, but seeing how some of us had all but written us off, that doesn't seem their plan. Bear in mind the new boss came from MX. This brings in two points: 1. hopefully he is operationally minded, also, he probably has a lot of experience in working with unions. Let's hope that the latter has a more positive outcome. If mgmt and our unions could actually talk, we might get somewhere. He might be the one to do it. I say give the guy a shot. What are the other options?
Ever hear a new CEO start off his introduction speech with "We or going to downsize, cut jobs, and cut salaries". Of course he is going to sound positive.

ng4 already has his GlamourShots photo posted on Epic. He has mechanic's hands, so they insisted he take his thumb off his chin and keep his hands down for the photo.
Later this week he'll have his "takin' a leak" photo taken in a CRJ doorway. They'll probably wander over to the maint hanger and have him climb on one of the 14 planes we have parked there for LS2 checks. That would be "Long-term Storage 2" checks.
If there's one thing the vage did for us while he was CEO, at least he took down the Chataqpublic ERJ photo on the homepage of the Comair website.
