Optimism is not one of my greatest assets, but given the current state of Comair, I need to believe that they have good intentions for something.

There is no way a professional company that has been around for 30+ years can be this malicious.
Please do not take this personally, but "are you kidding me?" I know I won't be in the "last photo" of the "last comair flight." Its happening..buh bye comair.

Once the 50 JFK FO’s are displaced to CVG and the company pays to displace us, they will announce the furloughs. Pay to train pilots, and then furlough them without any hope of recall. Pay to displace pilots, without any hope of recall. No wonder we are not the best cost effective airline. Why do we even need a president/CEO, everything is run from Atlanta anyways. You can save a few pilot jobs if you do not have to pay for a puppet president.

Why are you so surprised? Either they don't care about those on furlough, or they are about to be downgraded and are making as much as they can at the higher pay rate before their downgrade.

That is nothing new. There've been quite a few captains who have openly stated they are picking stuff up in open time, dropping trips, etc....
Is CVG a base for them? How often do you keep operational spares at an outstation that is not a crew or mtc base? Freedom has a base here so it makes sense for them to have an aircraft or two or ten sitting around.

These are 20+ year captains picking up open time. Sad.....

I forgot to check out. So what, what are you going to do, give me an SD??? LMAO....cool, now I am off for the rest of the day. Moving multiple soft days off?? After the first time, just say "NO, you already did that this month, goodbye"...click.

Oh, and if you have an unused "no more soap" sticker, I am STILL looking. It is almost a dream come true to think a company with as much money as Delta would even BEGIN to think it could restrict my freedom of speech.

2-How do you get your type rating paid for by WIA?

1-you need to be eligible for training through the WIA and one of the stipulations is that you are a laid off worker, and NOT subject to recall. I need to find my furlough letter and see what it says on it. does anyone know if it mentions the word recall???

2- its very complicated way to get $$$$ out of the government for retraining if u can prove u will get a job out of it, which i have

You don't have to have a crew or maintenance base to keep spares in a city. ASA has been keeping a CVG spare around on and off for years. We usually have 1 or 2 spares in BOS up against the fence. I'm sure if they had the parking arrangements for it, we'd keep 1 in LGA.

We've had 2 incidents in the past week that I'm surprised nobody has commented on.

1) The LGA-SAV (I think SAV) that diverted to RDU due to a smoking passenger decking the F/A and another passenger

2) The Delta 737 that flew CVG-ATL that landed so hard that we've got 2 very good F/As out on medical leave.

did the LGA-SAV RDU thing happen last night. I was in RDU this morning and ops was going on and on about some medical diversion there last night. Somehow it was still effecting their terrible performance today.

My nomination for top 5 worse stations in the system.
1. BWI
2. PHL
3. JFK
4. RDU
5. ATL

Anything in common?? All DGS or Contracted out.
