I wonder if that new Honda plant in Indiana is hiring?
Source is very reliable and unfortunately I have relayed good information so far. I'm not happy of the info. I too have been affected.
CRJ, the training dates will be out this week for the downgrades. I did ask of the furlough list and the answer I recieved was not until the numbers and dates of completion on training are evaulated. Could be this week or not till bid packets come for Jan. Remember there is a COLA also in JAN. Sorry this didn't help but I do keep in contact so when I hear something I will let you know, unless it gets posted first obviously.
I did get a clarification on the 80 aircraft operation somewhat, and the fact is we are almost there right now. We have many aircraft that are sitting and may be used for parts, being returned, mx, spares..etc. Those are not included in the "active" planes accounted for the number of block hours we have. Rough guessing is we are ten aircraft fat right now, and there is the next round of displacements and furloughs possibly in first quarter.

I used to be in law enforcement and left for this B.S... I really miss it. If you get the job, I think you will enjoy it. I enjoyed it, but I left for the "big money and status" of being an airline pilot. Wow, I should have been a guidance counselor. Local P.D. may not be your final stop, but it could lead to other great jobs within the field.(possibly flying) Good luck to you.

I'm looking forward to it too. Not sure what I'm going to do afterwards. I do plan on a few weeks of vacation time depending on what unemployment gets me. I have my CDL so, I'm looking at some bus/limo driving jobs around my area just for something to do. I too really want to know my furlough date. I've got some trips planned already and I can't book them until I know exactly when I'm outa here!
