Comair updates?

Good info from the Freedom thread:
Here's what went down. Delta came to us and said we're going to increase flights in the Northeast for the summer and Comair can take over whatever routes that remained from Freedom. They also said we needed to be properly staffed as to not inccur any crew cancellations. So we did as instructed. Well Delta was just going to pay for the ERJ's to sit, but got soft and decided that if they were going to pay Freedom, they might as well use the aircraft. Since the 1st half of summer schedule went up till July 31st they added the ERJ's back into the second half and fall. We are still flying the increased schedule till July 31st. Since Freedom is back, they are reducing our projected hours for the second half of the summer schedule. We basically got blind sided by Delta. So now management is in reaction mode and that's why no one knows what the hell is going on. Selvaggio had a meeting with Delta last week (hence the conference call rescheduling for schedule conflict
) That's when the pilot hiring grinded to a hault.
I convinced a buddy to leave Mesa and come here to fly. The were late getting his pee test back, so they moved him from the 23rd class to the 30th (which is now on hold). So he's in the pool now. I feel bad because he's already left Mesa.

So Delta came to Comair and said you have to get staffed up ASAP because you're gonna get the flying from Freedom. We jump and ask how high on the way up.
Now Delta comes back and says sorry Comair, where afraid of JO and now you have stop hiring and YOUR the ones who will lose the flying.
What happens if Mesa goes belly up?
It seems that only folks that Delta isn't afraid of is Comair and Northwest.

Not so true. Are the staffing grids out for September? That is when they will be saying that we will be so overstaffed. With the current flying that we have, we aren't overstaffed. So look at the grids for Sept and Oct when they are posted and you will see more green.

So, I went and observed a sim session today of a guy doing CRJ70/90 differences training. The instructor let me videotape them. I wasn't very impressed...
