Now, correct me if I'm wrong. If there's a merger in which the Comair name/company is maintained, don't they have to recall the guys that were furlough if the "new" company ends up with people junior to them?. And what if they other company is the one standing?, wouldn't it be the same case?.
Here's something that's floated around for a while. There might be a "merger" with Mesaba, in which that'll be the name retained. And with Mesaba just because their operating costs are lower than Comair's. Now, with it does happen, would that nulify the Comair contract?. If so, then it makes sense. If it doesn't, then what's the point?.
Personally with either scenario, I don't forsee a recall for those of us furlough for quite sometime. Time to move on.

Do not listen to our seior captains who say it will be DOH merger, that is BS. Do not confuse Seniority with Longevity
A merger would be relative seniority, with people furloughed put on the very bottom of the list.

Blue moon is correct. I spoke to a union rep and told me the same thing. Time to move on.

Your wrong...please look at America West v USAir for what will probably happen with seniority integration. It will happen like that and be jsut as ugly.

Sorry, T-2 is what I meant. They will take all of those guys and put them at C. Then they could put FedEx at T-2 and plow T-1 as planned.

He said it was the FAA guy in charge of CVG ramp operations. I didn't type it right the first time. He didn't say his exact title but he said he was definitely a fed.

Ok, so I just read the memo about the transition from Concourse C to A/B. Anyone else think this is going to turn into a big cluster----? Re-numbering the gates? Freedom going to Concourse B? What a joke. Should be a fun couple of weeks. I hope I won't delay any flights by getting lost or can't find my gate if you get my drift...

You guys should change the greeting on your VM to something like... sorry i'm busy, maybe you shouldn't furlough people you actually need to properly run an airline...
Or something like that... I know it wouldn't do anything but it would certainly be funny.
