Hey, at least his scheduled 4 hour break later that day at another airport turned into a quick turn. Comair standard. See, if airlines would pay by DUTY HOUR, this crap wouldn't happen....

Sorry to hear that. On the other hand, just lost my little p/t job I had bartending. The owners closed the restaurants they owned. What a great way to start another crappy week?. Oh well.

hello all! i have a furlough question. how long do we have recall rights? do we acrue longevity/seniority (i.e. furghloughed on 2nd yr pay come back 3yrs later on 5th year pay?) if offered a recall how long do you have to decide, and then how soon after that can the company have you start training? my contract is stashed away in a garbage can somewhere and i was just wondering. thanks!

1.) 5 years

2.) No, you'll come back on 2nd year pay if you were furloughed in your 2nd year, or 1st if you were furloughed in your first year

3.) I believe you have 14 days to decide, and then 21 or so from when you decide to the beginning of class

4.) agree, DL sucks..I saw a dude today with a "fly delta jets" shirt on..and the urge to go berserk was high.

Pilot agreement pg 22-3, when the company recalls a furloughed pilot, he will be notified of recall, in writing, in order of system seniority. the notification will specify a date of return to active duty, and such date will not be less than 21 days after the date of notification, unless otherwise mutually agreed on. accept or reject recall in writing within 10 days from the date of notification. a pilot on furlough will continue to accrue seniority for 5 years. a pilot returning from furlough will be paid the rate of pay applicable to the category to which he is recalled.

Not yet, tomorrow. All that "free" booze while at work got to me. My liver needs a break....Better yet, I need a break from booze.

My last leg on Thursday the 28th is CVG-JFK leaving at 1945. Any Comair JFK FO's living in CVG want to take that leg off my hands? PM me if interested.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of bypasses? I can only find language re: bypasses for voluntary furloughs.
